Myanmar New year Festival

               When I say New year, a lot of people will think December 31 night. But  I'm going to write about Myanmar new year festival called 'Thingyan' and how we usually celebrate. We do have very interesting and fun ways of celebrating our new year. This is our biggest and greatest occasion with largest people participation event throughout our country. I think the reason of celebrating with water in the very hot month April is to welcome the rain and join the new year with fresh and clean souls. Moreover, I think it is just not only celebrating at the right time but also for right reasons.

When I talk about Thingyan, I can't forget about the flower called Pa Dout. That flower is very unique and has very sweet and lovely story. That flower is blossomed only once in a year. And it blossom when the Pa Dout tree has the first rain in the season. Pa Dout faithfully do this way since last 2500 years ago.  

 

        
 Our new year usually falls on mid April and we celebrate 5 days of pouring water and the New year day . Yes 5 days :). Here is the interesting way called "Water Festival". People pouring water all day during the festival days. Usually it stars from morning 8am to 6pm. We play the whole day pouring water to each other but nobody get sick. Some people even use iced water to pour others. You can go around and visit uncountable water pouring stations  around the city or you can play water on a stations. Many people enjoy to go around by car or motorcycle with their friends or family. Many kids enjoy our new year. Every one plays with sweet smile and that feeling can't be forgotten. I would say the most awesome festival and my most favorite event ever.

              This is a image of how people enjoy their new year event at suburb area (village).  As you can see people use a horse carriage instead of cars to go around and enjoy water festival.

           During the lunch time in the festival, there are many food counters where there are free flow of different variety of seasonal foods and snacks for free.  Usually the water pouring station owner take care of food and beverages for the guest. The image on the left is a sweet drink  called 'Shwe Yin Aye' which means making people heart cool. 

                

At the new year day, First day of our calendar, we usually go to pagoda and monastery to do meditation and praying. Some people visit to orphan or retirement house for donation. And we usually get some pocket money from old people where we visit. So, many young kids like us enjoy visiting and participating in new year day.

               Similar to Myanmar new year, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia also celebrate their new year like us.

            

Nice guy finish last

               I hear this many times ' Nice guy finish last '. Is it a joke ? Why pretty girls treat them like a trash? Although almost all women say they want a nice guy but they are very attracted to players and get their heartbroken. I'm not blaming to any girls who like bad guys because attraction is not a choice. So, is it true that many women date nice guy just to be secure their life(to be their husband) in the last? Even it might not be true 100%, I bet it is true partially.

               Since I was young, I saw many girls chose jerk over nice guys. It become pretty common in our society. And most of the nice guys can't get away from pretty girls' default friends zone. What a sad thing it is. Why do pretty women attracted to jerks ? One of my lady-friend said she is very attracted to guys because they have strong confidence and daring personality. Unpredictable, out-going and funny than nice guys. Think less but act fast. Know how to entertain and attract to women into giving them what they want.

               Can you imagine what will happen when a nice guys trying to get out from her friend zone or to be her boyfriend? He might go and get a tattoo or wear half losing pants. Start acting being over confidence and cocky. Shows less respect. Try to not care her like before. Will talk nasty weird jokes. But these can't be look good as he is pretending and that is not his true personality. How can he beat truly bad boys ?

               So, if girls reject you or don't let you get out from her friend zone, you better move on than sticking on her. Think that there are many bigger fish out there. Of cos :) Since she doesn't want you, why waiting to be her no.##th  boyfriend? lol         

               I believe girls want great guy than nice guy. Who do not agree whatever they say and who can lead them in somehow. So, Mr. nice guys, Just be your self. :)

              

My Photography

            We usually take images in order to recall our frozen memories of what we have done at certain time line. Some take pictures to express different mixture of emotions and meanings at very still moment. A good image speaks more than thousands words.

            When I was young I have no interested in photography but one of my cousins motivated me and taught me about the beauty of photography. He explained me many interesting things about taking a picture and different ways to get a good image at different time. He is my very first guiding star. After I'm able to take better images than before, I started shooting whenever I have a chance.

 

            

These 2  picture were taken when I was in Myanmar a year ago where I  usually hang out with my friends when I was young. That place is called 'Inya lake' and many people like to hang out around that area. There is a walkway beside the lake and you will find a very fresh air which pass through from the surface of the lake. That place is about 2 miles away from my house. Some weekend early morning, our family go to there for walking exercise.

          

           

This is one of the famous Pagoda in my hometown and it is called 'Ngar Htet Gyi Pagoda'. My mom took me there to do some praying. Thanks to my mom.

There is a very famous Pagoda in my hometown which was built last 2500 years ago. It is one of the top 10 most amazing temples of the world. Unfortunately, I have no chance to take a picture when I was in my country.  

           

I took that picture when I was in Chinese garden of Singapore at one beautiful night. I have no idea why the sky has some red color at that time. It was very rare moment and I was lucky enough to get this beautiful image.

           

 

          This is one of the most famous landmark of Melaka Downtown , Malaysia. Actually it is a very famous restaurant and it is too famous and a lot of people come to that town to have some famous dishes from that restaurant and it become one of the famous of Malaka. That town is very different from other cities from Malaysia. It is used to fell under Portuguese, Dutch, and British. So you will see many different style of building in that town.
